Spark Plug (PIC)

What this look like to you guys??

I'm E85 running about .78-.81 lambda at WOT. 1.07 @ Cruise
3.0 Pulley with Intake, and full exhaust(catless).
These had about 5k miles on them.

These normal on E85 or what? I'm unsure what they should look like, my last set-up was regular 93oct and it was running rich as hell, plugs were just pure black with soot.

Thanks in advance,
Bratboy90

This is EXACTLY the same as mine when I switch out my spark plugs. It is running rich, I am on canned tune.

They look good to me, have a brown / light gray tint, I do see a few black spots on the center plug in the picture, are these the stock heat range plugs?

I was getting some spark blowout at cruise and wot. So, I changed the gap and new plugs. No blowout yet.

They are 1 Step Colder from stock. I'm on E85 with a 3.0 Pulley.

Also, I just thought it may either be slightly rich OR it couldjust be that your spark plug is running too cold.

Are the copper, iridium, what? Some LSJs can handle moving to iridium, and some loveeee being on copper.

I pretty much wanted my tuner to make me be rich and tune conservatively. I'm way to hard on my car to have discipline. 2.7 Pulley, Dual Pass, and Phenolic spacer soon to get me where I'd like to be performance wise.

Thats really rich, you can adjust your lambda to .82 - .85 and it will run a lot better on e85. Your plugs should have a tan / brown color to them, it it looks white at all your running too lean. It they are black like that your running rich, and from the look of those way too rich. The 2 on the right look like they have lots of carbon build up on them.

u dont need colder imho with your mods, i would run OEM NGK plugs the center electrode porcelain should be chocolate brown to beige. They should last 60 k miles easily. And torque your plugs down to spec, loosen 3/4 turn and re torque to spec. The crush washers dont look crushed much. my .02c

I'm running colder because within a week here I'll be going down to a 2.7 Pulley.

Huge misconception. Too rich can be just as dangerous as too lean.

Yep.

Too rich can ruin sensors, plugs, cats, etc.

I'd rather ruin a $100 sensor than pop a cylinder. LOL

I'll try going back to stock heat range. See if it likes that better.
