That looks pretty good there. Im bout to order an Injen intake anyday now. Cant wait.

The K&N with the AEM dryflow seems to have the best results....i.e. No CEL problems. Injen seems to be throwing CELs left and right.
|
AEM dryflow? Where can u get that from?
|
You can buy them directly from AEM's website
|
Here you go:
http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=93 Get an inner diameter measurement of your current filter neck or outer diameter measurement of your current intake pipe and match it to one on their list :) |
so between the injen and the fujita what is the best intake in terms of hp gains, sound, cel, intstall, and price? if u know of any sound clips could u let me know.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fh1IaHeXc5k Haven't heard/seen any Fujita setup cobalts though.. Injen shows the most gains out of the intakes for most cars to start with. the design "should" be the same if not, extremely similar in angles and tube routing for both Injen and Fujita. |
does anyone know anything about the weapon-r dragon intake? i seen one on ebay and i was just wondering if it was any good.

okay, after reading all of these posts and some on ss.com, no matter what intake i get, the CEL has a good chance of coming on?
because i want to either get the AEM of INJEN CAI, but dont really want to deal with the hassle of the light. |

For the exhaust, other's please correct me if I'm wrong on this: For S/C and N/A settings, you don't want to go much bigger than 2.5-2.75 inches inner diameter due to excess loss of pressure. In a S/C application (like yours), I would say 2.75 would be the largest I would go b/c you're still relying on the engine to produce the power and not the exhaust (just like an N/A). The S/C does help keep constant pressure in the manifold BUT, if you allow more and more exhaust gas to escape FASTER, the engine will be working harder to keep a constant pressure and be playing catch up. Now, turbos, those you want immediate exhaust exit b/c the power of the engine is manipulated DIRECTLY by the exhaust flow itself. That's why a lot of turbo cars have electronic/mechanical dumps right after the down pipe. The faster you can get the exhaust to escape, the faster the turbine can spool thus...creating more pressure in the manifold. For the S/C Cobalt, again, I would say no more than 2.75 inches INNER diameter for optimal performance. Anyone else got ideas? |
does anybody have the jbp intake cause i have it just havent installed it yet
|

There's an opening on the bottom end of the MAF Sensor one only one side of it. That opening should face the oncoming air...
I don't remember which way the arrow points. |
there a little arrow on the sensor and two on the sensor
bracket which is welded on the air intake pipe. the arrows on the stock airbox flow to the blower but the arrows on the injen to the air fiter wtf |
Who cares about arrows?
There is a hole on only one side of the sensor. The sensor can either be mounted with the hole facing the filter or the S/C. It's a functional sensor and for it to function correctly incoming air has to be directed into that hole. The hole must face towards the filter... |
