I have 7k sitting there waiting to put into my car now. As far as warranty, I went full extended warranty but screw it. I want the POWER now, for the track and no matter what, if I blow the engine on the track I am not covered anyways. And like what was just said what if GM waits so long and then we wait forever because there aren't enough kits to go around?

If you have 7 grand to spend why are you waiting on the GM kits at all???

I would be pulling the motor and doing some serious mods with 7grand....

And what parts do I use?????
I have a call into GM asking them where to get the parts they used for the 300hp+ build, as well as how to raise the rev limiter to 7850 like they did. I sent them to the GM performance division website to check out the article. Now I wait for someone to answer these questions. As my signature says the 300hp+ build is my plan except we know what to do but where and how are the questions that I don't have the answers to. If you can answer these question please let me know so I can start right away and I will be very

Well talk to the guys at Intense and see when the pistons for the car will be available...

Talk to JBP about the cams they are working on...

CALL other makers/distributors and see what they can get you.....Trying to go through a company the size of GM, even if it is just GMPP is a waste of time when you can go right to actual parts makers.

With that much money im sure you can get some good custom stuff done if you just look for the right people to do it.

I am looking at the different companies to see all the pieces line up and we seem to be close, but not all are ready. Then I still have that one big unkown, raising the rpm to 7850 and that is not something that I am inclined to trust to a piggy-back system. All that power till only 6500 rpm makes no sense which means GM still has one key that I\we need.

No offense but this really isn't much new information....This confirms what bdwarr said a month or more ago as for price. And we have always been told by most sources first quarter of 2006.

Exactly, it is confirmation... it is also info that most of us haven't been able to get our hands on by going to our local dealer... I'm unsure the reason as to why the allow some info to be leaked to some dealers and others can't get any, unless it's just because one parts dept has more pull than the other.

I went to my dealer today and asked by chance because my gf is looking at buying a new Monte Carlo SS and test drove is today and wow. It sounds awesome and is very quick!! It's weird I hit the gas and it seemed like the front of the car was fish tailing with all that power in the front.. Anyways i asked the parts guy and he said he has the pricing and it said something about Direct Ship. He wrote down a price of $499 for Stage 1 and $750 for Stage 2. He said the Direct Ship he has to call GM on to see what the deal is because from his guess he has to order through GM and GM calls the company who makes the kit to get them because they are not stocked in the warehouse or somethin... I have no clue!! I don't work at a dealer so I have no clue what that meant. But the prices sound good. Obviously labor is not included

absolutely, I posted the prices I was given, they are wholesale so that people could plan ahead. Someone posted what the dealer cost was which helps us bargain. The prices, are what is new. There is still speculation about when they'll be out, we still have a month until the 1st quarter is finished. I need to build my funds back up so they can wait a little longer to release them plus, when they come out, Rev-it-up and Intense will be all over them finding more power....that is what I am eager to see....

Def agree that the prices you posted Doc and the dealer costs provide excellent news that something is close. (bdwarr was again close with the stage 2 cost he said 536 compared to the 525 we hear in this thread)

Stage 3 would not be worth it. Plus it wouldn't be under warranty because it's "supposed" to have nitrous. But no, no new news on it so far.
