Stage 2 NO reflash
I recently installed my GM stage 2 over the weekend. For the most part I haven't driven anymore than I've had to and have been driving very calmly hitting maybe 5 psi in some acceleration. I've hit 15 psi a few times just to see if it would do so before the reflash, but was wondering if the car will feel a lot different once I get the reflash? I should be getting it flashed in the morning, was just curious if anyone knew? I know it's probably not good which is why I haven't driven it too much. used about 3/4 of a tank though cause I'm pretty sure it's running super rich.

Your not getting an engine light?
I ran my car with no flash (stock flashed when dealership got it) with a 2.85" Pully, and 42# injectors, and it ran rich as all hell. Kept throwing P0172.... GM Stage too is 3" with 42s so you probly close to the way mine was. Mine ran LOTS better after I got it flashed, but I got Intense stage III

You kind of limited your responses when you said that no one should post if they are going to bash lol The car will feel alot different after the reflash. Im surprised it even runs at all without it. If you insist on driving it without the flash for the love of god stay out of boost. Good luck

well it should be flashed tomorrow and I know it's running rich cause MPG is a major issue, but I have to get where I need to go so I just haven't really had much choise... =\
I just didn't know it the flash was just to help it out some more or if the majority of the performance had already been added. bash as you please i guess lol.
oh and kinda funny. i used to have engine light p0171 for my air filter from doing the airbox mod. that went off very quickly after i fired the car up. haven't had an engine light since. car runs really pretty fine. sometimes there is some hesitation in throttle response and the car occasionally kinda chokes i guess you could say. other than that it's really runnin pretty well.

Yes you will notice a difference. Right now your injectors arent even scaled so your fueling is all over the place, most likely extremely rich and your running the stock timing table. Just stay out of boost until the flash and enjoy it afterwords

Stay out of boost until you get flashed.
If you read the instructions for installing GMS2 they tell you to "very carefully" drive the car to the dealership to get flashed.
You prob. didnt hurt anything, but i dont recommend doing it again.

My friends dad had me pull my car around back to his bay and he flashed it. Then he came and picked me up from my work in a mustang SVT cobra with nos. NOW THATS SERVICE!

Ok the car is awesome lol. can definately feel a difference. Now my next question... What plugs to reccomend? I just changed my plugs less than 1000 miles ago, but i want to have the best that i can without spending an arm or leg on them.

Don't waste your money on plugs unless yours look like they need to be changed (if they are still the stockers they should be in good shape). If so, replace them with the stock heat range & gap them at 0.035". Most say 0.032", but you want the largest gap possible w/o spark blowout. The nice thing about the 0.035" gap is its small enough to prevent blowout on a GMS2 car, yet large enough to produce a strong spark. It really is the best of both worlds for your application.
I would only recommend colder plugs with a tighter gap when you pulley down to a 2.9" or smaller. In that case go with 1 range colder plugs gapped at 0.032".
