stage 2 recently, CEL trippedd
stage 2 recently, CEL trippedd
i recently got my stage 2 put on maybe 2 weeks ago or so , and my CEL went on today and i got it scanned and the guy said bank 1 is running too lean...also when i was at the dealership the girl told me the CEL came on while he was test driving it, then 5 minutes later he came back and gave me my car, with no CEL on i wonder if he just erased it....please help is this bad??
lean is less gas. rich is more gas. if its too lean, your cylinders not getting enough gas, which potentially/will blow your engine, which is kind a bad. i'd get it looked at if i were you. could be something wrong with the fuel injector in the 1st cylinder.
Dont get worked up, that code can be triped by alot of things i got the code 2 days after my stage 2 and it turned out to be the clamp at the throttle body that holds the intake to it was loose. Check for intake leaks ,I even read that the dip stick not being seated properly can cause this code.
Visually and physically inspect the following items:
• The vacuum hoses for splits, kinks, and proper connections
Inspect for the following conditions:
• The HO2S for proper installation
Inspect for the following conditions:
• Missing, loose, or leaking exhaust components
• Vacuum leaks at the intake manifold, throttle body, and injector O-rings
• The air induction system and air intake ducts for leaks
• The crankcase ventilation system for leaks
• The evaporative canister purge pipes for obstructions or plugging
