stage 3 ss sc
stage 3 ss sc
I want a zzp stage 3 kit, I have a bone stock 06 lsj. Other mods open to, would it be fine to start with a kit and still have stock exhaust and no cai as long as I check if my inter cooler works?
Yes make sure you check that pump, your power will hurt if it doesn't work. The stage 3 kit comes with the intercooler so you won't have to worry about that, and as far as exhaust goes I say you should at least upgrade to a less restrictive header, if not downpipe and catback as well. CAI isn't going to make a huge difference I don't think, just do the airbox mod and you'll be fine.
I should have a stock intercooler and thee kit has an added heat exchanger as an option (don't exactly know the full purpose) and I will do the mods eventually I'm just wondering if without them will anything get wrecked? Also what are you referring to as the air box mod, an intercooler I'm assuming?
You'll be fine with everything that comes with the stage 3 kit. Just put it all on at once, don't do half one day, drive around, and then do the other.
The stage 3 comes with a front mount heat exchanger, it works with the stock intercooler, but it's literally mounted in front.

the extra heat exchanger helps because a) it adds more fluid to the system and b) its in front of the ac condenser, stock heat exhanger and radiator so it doesnt get heated up from them.
all good for keeping your intake temps low. if the temps are too high (i think 120+ iat2) the computer starts pulling timing which means power

No the airbox mod is when you take your stock airbox, remove the stock filter, put an aftermarket filter, and don't replace the bottom cover, allowing more air to enter your engine. Of course I would recommend getting a water sleeve for the filter just in case, I have one on mine and have never had problems in the rain. No you won't wreck anything, you'll just not make as much power as you should be making.
Just installed my stage 3 with 3.0 pulley on 91 octane
Zzp intake, catback and catless downpipe
Currently on the can tune to commute to the gym until my aeroforce and wideband come in then I'll get it tuned
I've owned the car stock for 3 years, I'm surprised it took me this long to buy this, it's seriously wakes up the car.
I'll spin 1st , sometimes spin a little second. Before it wouldn't spin first from a roll. ( I have rotated mounts and decent tires)
Best investment I made in the car by far
