is there anything that would keep it from putting out 12V on this pin #21 to the cam sensor with the key on? From what I can tell, when the key is on, it should be on regardless of vehicle theft system, coolant sensor, load sensor, or throttle body issues.

I have a 2007 Ariel Atom2 that uses the LSJ powerplant. When I did my first engine swap I mixed up the throttle body and fuel injector harness connections, as on my car they were the same and would interchange/plug together. My engine would start..run for a second and die. No codes. I finally found I had swapped the two plugs as they are not labelled, and it fired right up. My harness is custom and I'm not sure if the Cobalt harness was made "idiot" proof..but it's worth a look-see.

Turns out there is no 12V to the cam sensor. Seems like that would've been good to know that Low Reference means ground in the wiring schematics. The conectors are different on the 2.0L so they can't be swapped accidentally, in addition the harness lengths wouldn't allow it. I got the new PCM, and the car runs now. However, I have a camshaft sensor error. I'd like to know how to test the cam sensor in 2006 2.0L SS/SC if anyone knows. First wire is +5V which I have, the second is the signal back to the PCM which has continuity at least through to the PCM pin, and the third is ground through the PCM. I assume resistance between the 5V and signal can be checked, or possibly 5V to ground, but I'm not sure how to check any of that and couldn't find good info anywhere in the manual or online.
What happened to this site? It's a ghost town around here. No one likes the Cobalt anymore I guess. Me neither.
