Damien, i appreciate your concern but im fully aware of how to properly break in an engine. that being said i dont need a lesson in engine break in, nor do i need yur nagativity. Firing it up and letting it idle isnt hurting it one bit. It is running too rich and i know thats bad for the rings/cyl walls, but its not like im revving the **** out of it and driving it around w out a tune. ive fired this engine up a total of 3 times. but again thanks for your .02

YEA SO BAD NEWS. i think my block is cracked!!! i just drained the oil for the first time since i put it back together... there is still boat loads of coolant in the oil. my driverside coolant tank is bone dry... so im thinkin it pulled it out of there and into the oil... if it were the head gasket again it would be pumpin it through the exhaust... so a cracked block is the only other alternative

well my guy that did the machine work cracked my first block... i called him today and he told me that the sleeves went in PERFECT on the new block and there is no way that its cracked... he said that the o rings on the sleeves didnt seal properly and to run some Alum-a-Seal through and it would seal up anything that the o rings didnt... well see i guess. im currently waitin on my PCM to get shipped back to me. when i get it back all ican do it put new oil in it, run that **** through and see if that fixes the issue. it sounds like BS to me but he says it will work and hes been buildin engines for 30yrs so if anyoen would know it would be him i guess...

he might very well have worked on blocks for that long, but the block isn't iron. It's aluminum, and is way more prone to things going wrong.

Machine shop guys always say stuff like that. your block is gone. He probably cracked it and is giving you a bs excuse. You cant trust anyone anymore. Better check the ****** might have even timed it wrong if he timed it I'd check everything if your sketchy about this dude
