Haha... there was a guy that I used to work with that graduated with a degree in High Performance Motorsports... he tried telling me that if I put the 60's in... they would run just like the 42's... just lower IDC's. Haha, I called him an idiot. Good thing I didn't listen to him.

And don't ever buy from Intense again. That's a till that all the GTP owners have given me.

Pull your spark plugs out.. and leave them out. Disconnect your Fuel Pump's Fuse... then crank the car over like 5 times... or some ****. That should help get some of that extra fuel out of there... and put your 42# injectors back in. Put the 60's in when its time to tune.

There isn't a for sale thread for them. I have them laying around for the one day that I decide to get crazy. SOUNDS like you need them more than me... so I am willing to part with them for that reason.

Same thing happend to mine. Gm gave me acompletely new motor. It was shot. But I also ran 42lb injectors on a 2.7 pulley with no cooling mods whatsoever....super lean!

I had the same thing happened to me once with normal driving, same exact thing as your describing, smoke/steam looking coming from under the hood, wrx sound, turned it off and turned it on, no cel, and it ran fine. that was 4 months ago. no problems since. maybe youll be lucky like me. Goodluck tho. interested to hear what the outcome is....

This is a interesting thread. If it is a piston, it will be the first one I heard of on a 2.9 pulley. As far as warnity goes, put your stock intake/box back in, remove the H/E, and remove the 2.9 pulley. They can't void your warinty then. Trust me, it could be alot of work but well worth it if they cover the engine work assuming it is a piston. Either way, good luck to you.

I gave it about 2 mins or so as I was looking in the engine bay and under the car for any fluids coming out. started up and was fine.

Is it an ACDelco plug or aftermarket? If it is ACD you should be covered as a defect in workmanship. If not, you are screwed there buddy.
