stiff mounts cause cel

I've been getting this cel for the past few days, P0300, a missfire code, I was also getting P0315, a crank sensor code, well I took it into service thinking my crank sensor was bad and causing the missfire code

Well the tech diagnosed my car, the sensor is still good and there is absolutley no missfire, he showed me this all on the tech 2, he's saying my TD and tranny mounts aren't allowing the engine to flex like it would with stock ones and its causing my sensors to give false readings

Is anyone else having, had or heard of this theory?

Yes its common. The knock sensor is basically a sensor that picks up certain vibrations, by using solid mounts, the engine vibrates more to the point where the sensor is picking up false knock.

I'm sure there is a way to tune it so it stops, but you'll have to ask the tuners how they do it.

Area47 might know

I figured I would need a tune to fix it

Try taking it out and seeing if the CEL still comes. If it does, then the problem IS the sensor.

When I had my mount in I had zero issues besides the insane amount of vibrations. I decided **** this and upgraded to stock
