Can someone verify what the diameter is? I am buying a Magnaflow resonator and resonated tip from Summit but they have a 2.25 and 2.5 option. I am planning on cutting out the stockers and tig the new ones in. Thus, I want the same diameter as stock.

The stock catback is 2.5" from the end of the resonator to right before the rear axle. It then necks down to 2.25" to the muffler. The inlet of the stock resonator is 2 1/16" so its a good idea to upgrade that bottleneck area.

Its all speculation on what size you should use personally 2.5 has worked for me and the whole exhaust was only 330 bucks from mandrel bent exhaust systems.

 

Yea I've looked at theirs before.

For the resonator and tip I was looking at, it would be $200 already. I would still have that over-axle restriction as well. Might just bend my own with a mandrel bender at my school.

I wanted 2.5 opposed to 3" for a little quieter exhaust.

 

I need to get a video camera so I can record how it sounds. its actually a lot louder than what I had planned on but I LIKE IT.
