stock exhaust QUESTION NO MUFFLER

of course all of u know what are cars sound like with no muffler LOUD AS HELL

my friend thinks he is cool with his SS/SC he has the stock exuhast and he just cut off the muffler over REAR AXLE NOW ITS THE LOUDESTT THING I EVER HEARD I TOLD HIM HE IS GOING TO LOOSE POWER


WHAT ELSE CAN IT HURT??

wont really affect a SS/SC becuase they dont really need the backpressure, many people run cutouts. sorry

it just seems like u dont like the kid. jelous? lol

i hate open exhausts tho, sounds like shitt

Im catless I ran without a muffler to go pick one up while I was changing from stock to aftermarket and it was loud as ****. I went back to stock muffler now and im not sure what to get since im running a custom dp w/out cat

Get a single 2.5" round muffler (like what the GMPP Cat-back uses) The put a small fartcan after it

wont' hurt the engine or lose performance since the exhaust still has a bit of velocity through the piping. Cutouts will hurt low end because they just dump right after the header and there isn't any "exhaust momentum" (for simplistic reasoning) pulling on the rest of the exhaust behind it.

Since he cut it behind the axle there is quite a bit of exhaust travel and barely any restrictions, so it will improve performance most likely, how much? I dunno.
