As you can hear the car missfired around 6800 which leaves me to wonder if it has more. Eric thanks for the tune, its super bad ass!!
Hey man, help me understand how that dyno read. The graph says 291.9, but than in your print out it says 273.4 max power. Either way both numbers are great for a 2.9 M62 car. Nice job with the tune ebristol

IIRC Tim did nearly 320WHP on a 2.9 M62 with E85. ZZP stroker 2.3L bottom.

Now here is a question what is the top amount of timing you can tune without hurting somthing? e85 you can run so much timing and not get knock but it doesnt mean you should. Anyone here know what the highest safest amount to run is on e85?

This car was running 23 degrees of time. My car runs 24.

The "general" consensus is that anything more then 25 degrees is doing more harm then good.

Yeah thats What I heard I got mine at 25 now. I am dynoing on the 20th of this money I am going to draft up some timing tables to use some at 20-25 and some from 20-28 and see what happens and what I can get out of it. Go big or go home right lol.

I'm calling on them today. I'm very very frustrated. Eric was kind enough to let me borrow his winter wheels to get some miles on my car to get the motor broken in.

I'm very impressed with tyler car as well. I told him I'm really happy for him as well.

anything above 25* of timing is just putting a beating on your rod bearings.

I think someone said before that at like 25.5 you aren't making any more ponies anyways. I'd run like 23 24

I hope to do that within the next month. I don't think I will be able to get to the 12's because of the lack of dr's or slicks but I am sure I can get some good trap numbers.

The cut out overwhelms the blower whine. It also doesn't help that I have a stock intake with an air box mod.

Could you care to explain??

And I'm talking about 90-100% meth... no 75% meth and 25% water.

People with meth injection and small pulleys get easily to 25 degrees of timing... I'm certainly missing out other factors here that I don't know!

IIRC Eb made 7 or 8 more HP on the same AFR (converted gasoline afr) and timing on E85 than he did on pump. And that was just his apples to apples comparison

E85 > Meth Injection. That is all I have to say. There are 100 threads about this on this forum.

Yup.

Blue is Premium
Red is E85

No other changes in the tune.

So did you just switch fuels without tuning for E85 and thats why you only got a 8hp gain? or did you tune for it and only get a 8hp gain?
