theory behind option b??

if the coolant hose is above the coolant fill line on the resovoir then how does the coolant even get to the HE? it seems like it doesnt even work and just sits... any help?

the small bleeder hose bleeds air out of the h/e, you should see a bit of coolant trickle out of that hose every once in a while.

the coolant hose(the 5/8 line) is NOT supposed to be above the tank. if it is, u installed it in the wrong place. the air line(the 1/4 line) catches the air off the h/e. so the air comes up top and pushes the coolant down through the bottom, thus filling it up.

i shouldnt even be saying this, but i was oblivious to the hose on the bottom of the tank. i thought the air bleeding hose was the only line involved.

it is not a flow through system like you're probably thinking it is. It is pretty much exclusively to more effectively (and constantly) bleed the system of air.
