is there a how to for changing the timing chain?

i need some info on changing the guides and the chain and the whole thing, after 2 timing chian tensioner i still get the same problem that diesel noise, anyone know if im missing something here?

no there isent a how to on that get the build book or a gm service manual and i would say your problem is either a worn out chain and sliders or low oil pressure another item to look at is the chain slider bolt the is behind the plug in the head they are known for backing out and another point to look at is the bolt that holds the main tensioner slider in place is also known to break and or stretch allowing the chain to stay loose

can you specify on the build book i think ill buy it.

how do i know if i have low oil pressur my oil is full i checked it last night

its 300 hp build book it takes you thru a complete rebuild you need to hook up an oil pressure guage to see if the oil pressure is

Replace the timing chain tensioner. It's a $50 part. There is a bolt in the back of your engine you take out and replace.

its at chevrolet they are fixing it for free ill let you know if its solved but i already know thats the problem the chain is loose cause of that.

easy way to check would be to take the colt cover off it takes a torx its right by the pulleu tentionner
