the 02 sensors is before the cat on that set up now.

you will throw a code with that.

find someone with hpt and credits, they can shut it off for you.

disconect the ground to your battery for 5 minutes. hook it back up and the engine light will be cleared out and the computer will re learn your afr to a sertain extent.

I have the same code sometimes, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

um, no.
it has NOTHING to do with afr or fuel or anything.

Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

thats what code p0420 is.

why is he throwing it?
the rear 02 sensor is infront of the cat now.
this code will not hurt anything, just throws a light. in vibrants design, for some odd reason. they did this. the rear 02 sensor is in front of the cat. this does not work for monitoring the cat.

hmm this might work out to my advantage then!!

you think i can take out the o2 sensor and put the a/f uego gauge in that bung and then just bung another hole past the cat to monitor the cat with the o2 sensor so it throws no codes?

i wouldn't do that unless you have access to hp tuners to shut the codes off. if you don't shut em off, you will throw more codes, and pretty much make it angry.

well im thinking about getting hptuners to learn to tune. something im really interested in and i have the money to get the kit.

why would it cause more problems exactly? wouldnt the computer be reconizing the o2 sensor then and pick up the right readings?

ahhh, i didnt see the vibrant part. sorry. i just know that this worked for me when i did my cam swap with the stage 1 cams. computer relearned the afr and never saw the code again. but this wont work with the stage 2 and 3 cams, need tuning for those

bank low means that you are running leaner then the car wants you to run. Disconnect the battery for a few min. then hook it back up it will have the code cleared out and the computer will re learn the afr. If its more then the computer can compansate for then you will need to tune it.
