Hello my name is dustin i live in indiana and i own a 2006 ss/sc g85. I am doing a complete motor build but with the l61 head instead of the lsj head and i know it will be a pain in the ass to get it tuned but in the end it will be worth it. I started with a stock l61 head the i took it to a local shop put stage 3 comp cams in farrea valves supertech valvespring and titanium retainers with new golden eagle headstuds. Now im putting the 2.4 intake manifold on and going turbo vulcan makes a nice turbo manifold for all the ecotec motors. Then i threw in some mahle pistons and ballance shafts so i can rev it to around 8,000 rpm's cause the turbo I have is a .63 trim sc61 precision custom down pipe with megan exhaust. I will post some pics as soon as im done with the build

Plus i have a fully assembled lsj head and manifolds for sale with the m62 supercharger k&n intake stage 2 injectors a 2.9 and 2.65 pully with hub also a pacesetter header stock lsj pistons valves springs and so on that i would let go individually or as a kit for 2k and the charger is heat coated black looks nice and you can lay your hand on it after running it.......... email is dmania820@yahoo.com

Use the three magical letters.... D-I-Y!!!

As I mentioned in another thread... the point of porting a head isn't to increase the size of the port, but rather to reduce flow obstructions.
What you want to do is take down any rough edges, and sharp transitions, to make it a nice clean flowing path.
Also, don't polish it... the optimal surface finish for maximum air flow, should be slightly rough to the touch.

If you need any minor machining done, it can be taken to a local machine shop and worked over for a few hundred.

Exactly, you can use L61 cams on the LSJ head, just don't use the cam sensor. Not to mention the LSJ head flows better than the L61.

not just for cams but the turbo build will be easier and make alot more power plus with a built head i will make more power with less boost plus the l61 is a 10.0 head and it will take my comp to like 9.7.1 and that will make great power
