Timing chain tensioner?

I broke my timing chain tensioner and ordered a new one from the stealership ($58 w/ tax). the new one is slightly different b/c they made a change due to some unknown problem the original one was inducing. i was wondering if anybody knows anything about this new design. the new one does not have a spring inside of it that had to be preloaded. it looks like the new one is run soley off of oil pressure. it also only appears to have 1 oil orifice to keep that pressure instead of 2 orifices like on the original one to let the oil flow through it. here is a pic of them...the new tensioner is on top.

dont know what the difference is. Either way its for the better. Mine broke at 25,000km. Got it replaced and never had a issue with it again. I dont think i have heard of any cobalt that hasnt broke their timing chain

yeah they're all different now, mine from napa was different as well. guess it worked fine for the europeans in saab, but americans are the ones who are really apt to make stuff break if at all possible
