the tip part of the GMPP catback

I cant come to reason to spend 60+ on a tip, can i just use the universal ones from advanced auto parts?

also if i do end up getting the GM tip how does it attatch, it doesnt say on the website

I had mine welded on when I bought the cat back from GMPP. Looks great after 2 years with a little polish every once and a while .I would not buy one from Auto zone.I bought one for my wifes car and in 4 months it rusted on me .Waste of $15
