All the more reason I liked the 7600rpm limit when I had the valve springs. 125 in 3rd was entertaing, and made my 40 rolls a 1 shift race

Do you have any idea how much stress you're putting on your motor by holding it WOT at those speeds? It didn't break 140 because your IAT2's were probably over 200.

You really need meth injection to keep the intake temps sane at those stress levels, and even then that's like pouring a bottle of poland spring on a forest fire. A simple bolt-on HE isn't going to help that much, regardless of how big it is. The problem lies with the style of IM cooling (gay laminovas) and not necessarily the HE itself.

If any vendor were smart, they'd design an air to water HE that would bolt between the s/c and the IM.

Ding ding ding, to further this... what the car's computer "registers" isn't horribly inaccurate, but what our speedo's actuallydisplay is even worse.

^^^ and to rebuff this point, floor your car to the top of 2nd, shift into neutral (not accelerating) and watch the speedo increase to display your actual speed. it'll climb for a good 1 1/2 seconds til it levels out, but, you haven't been accelerating for nearly 2 seconds already... as I used to type in counterstrike... "Laaaaaaaaaaaag!!"

Momentum carries the car after you go to neutral though, the car doesn't instantly stop gaining speed. The gauges aren't terribly quick though, no argument there.

Yeah my buddy did this in his Sunfire GT was totally stock floored it as it got to the limiter he dropped it into neautral and it climbed past where his limiter was. Was at like 160kph i think.
