Towing performance with my SS

I recently put the hitch on my car, and I was home this weekend so I borrowed my dad's motorcycle trailer (it was empty) just to get a feel for how the car will tow.

It didn't give me any problems at all, I didn't even have problems pulling it up a hill from a dead stop. Obviously the car felt like it had a little less power, but I didn't get on it much anyway. I went for a short ~10 mile drive. Dry weight on the trailer is right around 930 lbs, so it's about the biggest I'd be looking to pull, period, since the car is only rated for 1,000.

Overdrive was fine when I was going faster than 60 mph, but 4th gear was the best to use before then. I also did this with the A/C on to load it a little more. Just have to make sure you take it easy, as always, when pulling a trailer. And remember that the trailer CAN NOT corner as good as the car can. (If you're not careful, you probably will flip it)

This trailer is taller than the one I'm going to be renting, so it probably had a lot more air resistance.

Overall, I would have to say that towing with this car is not going to be a problem.
