so i tried getting my tune uploaded today but there were some problems that won't let me do that... was gonna see if someone could help

it says that the vin and the OS don't match and won't load up

i had trifecta on my car but i had it flashed to what my car was at before the trifecta so hpt can be used. well it still ain't working

Either one trifecta is still on the ecm somewhere and its locking your ecm which is prob the one or the ecm is bad................................... I say ecm is locked due to trifecta!!!!

 

trifecta is no longer on the ecm and we verified that the os is correct for the 07's and i have my vin on there and it still isn't working...i don't think the ecm is fried my car ran not even 24 hrs ago. im pretty noob when it comes to tuning but im starting to think it is something with hptuners.

the guy that is helping me put the tune on my car licensed my car and then we got the tune and then he realized it was on the beta version and swapped to that and this is where we are having the problems...dont know if that would affect anything.

 

When you upload a tune from a car and it says invalid vin or os The main cause is a locked ecm or somthing on the ecm that is incorrect. Even if vince sent you a stock tune on your car it doesnt matter.. He needs to send you a tune that he says that theres nothing on the tune keeping it from being able to be read... Also he can just do a full write instead of doing a read and see if that does anything (If he has all years unlocked). IF it were hptuners it would more then likely say out of bounds of array or somthing to that sort saying there would be somthing wrong with the beta!!

well the guy that was helping licensed my car on the nonbeta and then get got my tune from area and it was in beta so he switched... that is when we tried to upload and it came with the os/vin error

 

Ooooh I see now. Your issue may be that the file Area sent was created with a different (newer) version of the beta. I can send you the very latest beta tomorrow to see if that helps. Just PM me and I'll usually reply within a few minutes.

 

Most likely the beta version issue. Happened to me a few times when nick had upgraded before me.

 

when i went s2 zzp sent me a pcm that wasnt able to be read by hpt, so i did the obvious and then i was able to get tuned. maybe its the pcm

 

well got an email from hpt saying that the pcm is still modified and needs to be flashed to stock still...may need my trifecta tuner to come and do another flash...only thing i don't get is that we were able to read my car with hpt after we did the flash from the trifecta dealer

 

either have the trifecta flashed off or get a tech two flashed to it stock file!

Right Pyros they had tried the day previously to read it to HPT, I loaded stock tune waited around for the HPT guy to get there made sure he could read the tune file he loaded it also which he could not do before. Had the os checked it is correct for 2007 so dunno.

 

well we are goin to try a couple more things to see if it will work...hope all goes well

 

well what we tried only cost me another 100 bucks...so now it is off to the dealer to get it flashed....never thought my car would ever see a dealer again cuz of the **** i have been through but if it makes it so it works than cool. thats gonna cost me another 84 bucks. If this doesn't work then im up for any ideas!

 

HPT cant read it still?

 

I thought Jarhead wass going to get together with G11 to do a "Force Full Flash" with his trifecta box. That would make it HPT readable.

he can't come till tonight after work and the guy with the hpt said that he was leaving around noon so we tried to flash a different tune on there and still came up with the problem im going to call jarhead and see if he can get the gms3 +hpt format and make it work...and maybe find someone else with that can flash my tune on

we can only get as far as the vin/os error when we try and upload the tune...it says that the os is the wrong one
