Matt M-Dub has tuned over 60 cobalts and is the most experienced in and around NC...If you like to get ahold of him like said earlier PM him or for faster pm me and ill send his number to you....Were all going to the Dyno Day on Jan 29th at National Speed and he will be there so if you wanna save up and do it then its up to you...I wouldnt trust anyone else to tune and hes tuned lots of cars on here including Gestapo/TwistedSS/both of my cars and thats the most well known from NC.

To give reason behind I said no is because of this:
They have tuned a total of 3 cobalts that are to my knowledge and none made serious hp. There a good shop and I stop by and say hi every weekend but when it comes to Cobalts and tuning its best to go to Matt "M-Dub".

I had mine tuned by Jeff Creech at carolinaautomasters.com. He is well known by the GM crowd, and not just in NC. He has tuned all of my LSx cars, and now my Cobalt. I made solid numbers and the car runs strong at the track. My times in sig are on a clutch that slips something terrible, but at any rate, I would at least give Creech a call and talk to him. Sounds like Matt is good too, but as far as I know he only street tunes his cars. Jeff will dyno it and run it on the street. If you take it to the track and find something needs tweeking, he will help you out. He charges $400 for the initial tune, and usually little to nothing after that, unless its something major. Good luck man!

what alot of people dont know is alot of gm known tuners that tune via lsx, ls1 and other ls seriers motors tune via speed density so they are confused about out dynamic airflow and maf tuning. There is a shop up here that has blown 4 balts because they thought your supposed to run a stock maf table with a stock ve table running a 2.6 and running 60s witht he stock injector tables so be carefull with the v8 guys. make sure they know what they are doing.

Matt can Dyno tune as well....Hes very knowledgable about these cars and other cars as well.....I would bet my paycheck 1600 on Matt to tune you and you will be happy. He was taught by the best-Area47 and as far as im concerned nobody can touch him.

p.s. Stone-Matt has tuned everyone from FL all the way up the coast and even into the westcoast....

Not saying he is better or worse fellas. Just wanted to throw my guy out there for consideration. He's not just a straight V8 guy, I assure you. Lots of stuff going on at that shop. $400 isn't very far off from what I was quoted from Matt btw.

Stone decided not to go with me... I won't say his is any better or worse than mine...

I can do dyno tuning but it's at the owners cost of $100/hr of dyno time... I do street tunes because it provides a much more accurate measure of airflow over the maf.

FROM what I have seen around here the ONLY shop besides NSi that I would let touch my car is Mayhem and frankly they have asked me for help several times so apparently even they know I do good work.

I have also done some tuning by referrals from Epic Motorsports and Robbie has personally called me for help with some cars.

I'm not saying I am the best, but I do know what I am doing... I have ONLY had one mishap and frankly that was due to a faulty injector not on my tuning.

If anyone wants to discuss this further feel free to PM me. I'm not shy...
