also, the tune is just unsafely conservative.

there is a point in witch pulling spark starts to become unsafe as EGT's get out of control....they are at that mark.

max 9 deg of advance at WOT.
but you are not factoring in the adders... i have that same tune i even sent you a copy of mine, which you never responded. i was seeing up to 23 degrees with the adders.

and my car ran like a dream on their tune... i just needed to dial in the maf and fix my afr to my liking...

dont let this worry you shortstack. are you 07 or 05-06? the tunes are different. i have 07.

well as long as you monitor

1. KR
2. AFR
3. EGT

you'll be fine. and just so you know, the car is such a beast on 15lbs you will be plenty happy with it, 22psi is just silly to me... unless you have part ownership in BFG i would leave it on low boost. i have made all of my kills on low boost...

The car even started! (lol) There seems to be a weird noise coming from the intake mani (i think its the dip stik hitting) but then i discovered that oil is just POURING out....

its coming from the drain system, i think.

It was wayy to dark to get under the car to tell, but im going to take a look at that tomorrow.

Car sounds ALOT different.. is this normal?

Thanks hungryhip... i appreciate your help.

incorrect.

when Kevin stuck his foot into her, she hit 9deg.

2nd gear and into 3rd.

the adders are set up in a incorrect manor, you set the table and then use the "adders" to pull out when needed.

not the other way around.

what were your expectations?.....a "beast" is far from what i would call the local hahn car(s)

solid....meh...sure......potential however....LOTS.

any who, OP. glad you got her going.

describe this "odd" sound.

Just a note for those trying the intake mani - you can take out the bottom cross bolt from where the alternator was, without fighting with the other two (that you need to take the IC pump off for). Saved me some time, might save others.

the noise coming from the intake manifold is your valves, you can hear them now because the intake manifold is much thinner now.

post pics of were its leaking from? so we can help better.

hey 06

thats true after i posted i thought about it and his tune could be different i havent seen his. but i agree with you. and i have mostly zerod out my adders but i like my timing to be what i say it should be not the adders.

well when i was running the hahn base tune it would break the tires loose in second (235/40/18) now on my own tune, with meth traction is a joke i dont even turn the boost up it just cost to much for tires (not to mention the trq steer in 3rd @ 100mph) now i consider that to be some what of a beast (in a 4cyl scene)

06, hip i think might have the right idea about the valves making the noise, it almost sounds like "sticky lifters"... but a little different, ill see if i can get some good sound.

I will try to get home ASAP and take some pics.. but its coming from the area of where my drain is... i lost a good amount of oil so i need to refill her before i can find out exactly. Hopefully its just one of my clamps...

Idle bounce around at first... then it started to level out after about 20 seconds... then it started smoking (i figured this might happen) but then it just started sound funny.. then i realized alot of oil came out... there was a little bit of oil coming from the top of the turbo, but not nearly enough to amount to what came out...

Looks like ill be checking connections today.

any canned tune is going to be sketchy. I had no other way to get my car tuned so this was my only choice. your hearing that the tune sucks from someone who has really high expectations. Its not like its unusable or anything.

Anything you do to your car is going to have problems... I have seriously only worked on my car for about 6 months, and honestly, thats not going past changing the injectors.. and ive done this ALL myself... your going to run into problems no matter what you do.

you just have to be prepared to take whats given to ya and make it work.
