honestly i just fixed some weak links.... headgasket, headstuds, and pistons.

you could say i prepared the engine for some more serious boost then the heaton would ever provide.

You didnt go into the valvetrain with valve seats and stuff then or what ever?

I have a ? about the breather hose... how does oil not travel through that? Im guessing its some physics pressure thing.. but it just seems odd to me...

I was wondering if you needed to do EVERYTHING if you just wanted to run some nice pistons..

na, usaully you dont need headstuds and multilayer steel gasket till really high boost levels of say 30+ but, it never hurts to upgrade especially since it was cheaper than oem stuff that i would of had to replace when doing pistons anyways.

stock head bolts are stretch to yeild meaning once they have been tightened theyre no good anymore.

and of coarse you cant re-use a headgasket.

about the oil breather, it would be perfectly fine if excess oil poured in the front timing cover, water pump cover. there is all kinds of oil in there already its not bad at all.

all that does is allow the oil to drain even though it is below the level of liquid/oil

think of it like this the plumbing in your house, it has to have those vents going out the roof in order to drain. if there was no vent it would drain very very slowly and air would have to bubble past the liquid to escape...

Thats what i was thinking...

like if you dipped a straw in water, and put your finger over the top.. it doesnt come out.. untill a outside pressure source is introduced (lifiting up your finger)... I guess its teh same concept..

I saw oil on the cover when i pulled it off, i was like oh ****.. So thanks for the clarification..

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. Hahn is doing a great job as well, but i didnt pay you to do this So thanks.

Isnt there a set of headstuds that arent tq to yield? I knew the stock ones were, buy why would they do that? better secured ?

Hey man if its possible, can you pm me your cell? IF i have a problem im not sure if i would be able to catch you on here after work is over..

So I think I figured out Hahn's oil drain system..

ARP makes headstuds that aren't tq to yield.

yeah slowly people have been letting little things slip the lips including me. if a guy is smart enough with the search feature you could figure out the whole set-up oil, and belt drive.

i even posted pics of it...
