its alot of work... its not the complication of putting things on.. its just the amount of time it takes to do so...

i finally got everything plugged in last night.. but i started leaking major oil from somewhere... Im going to check that out after work. I figured there might be more problems.. but as of right now it just seems like the oil drain is the problem....
I might have just missed a clamp or maybe need to do some leak prevention on the fittings..

Also, the tune is completely drivable...

well i hope you get the oil draing figured out man, its probably just eating away at you to get it out on the road for alil "Test" run

Edit:
Im glad to hear that... maybe one of these crazy devils at the Ohio meet can shed some light on the subject

oh well screw it, its all a learning expierence and something new!

anywho how's the build coming?
sniper, dont worry man hahn tech support ranks up there with the best! like i said i was someone that most recently purchased the kit and the tune/car ran great, there was just a ton of power left on the table. i have forged pistons so i can get away with pushing the limits so to speak. hahn is not going to want to give you a tune thats going to blow your motor up, so its kinda conservative.

what 06 was refering to is the timing on his friends car could be considered dangerously low as far as raising egt's.

i have a tune from them that is most recent and it was not dangerous in any way in my eyes. just conservative. hahn must of made some changes since then.

hope this helps you out!

also heres a link to my build thread... it may intrest you!

Your thread helped me get my oil lines all setup.. thanks for taking the time to do that...

Hahn so far has replied within 20 min of me emailing them...

they explained the noise of the intake mani as well...

they said the oil drain pipe off the turbo may be unevenly tightened.... I have a feeling thats where its coming from..

you put the little paper gasket? i added a little gasket sealer to each side, not no where near enough to clog the drain just a light light film for good measures... i have a feeling that were it is coming from.

so, did you install a egt on the hahn manifold while it was off? or at least a 1/8 npt with a plug? i sure wish i would have... now i have to take it all back off

i have the gauge just no bunghole hehe

No unforunatly, i didnt...

Next week, im going to get rotated mounts and probly a tune (i really just want to get hptuners).

I need to get myself some gauges and stuff... Its gonna be a PAIN getting all that **** off again.

that damn gasket stuff i got is ******* messy.. everytime i tightened the tb down it ended up getting all over and i had to take thething off about 4 times to clean it off of the TB plate... i barely put any on too...

i did use the paper gasket... i really think the oil drain is the problem though... All i know is that im gonna be having some fun putting the bumper on haha.

i have a open bunghole on my dp that i cant find my rear o2 to put back in.. haha... hopefully it doesnt do that stupid random open loop like yours did.

I need the 3" exhaust as well.....

:cuss ing:

Tightening up the oil drain pipe, the bolt snaps, and is now stuck inside the turbo..

it got too dark before i could try to drill it out...

This is getting annoying..

But what ever, ill work through it.

Hey I am Kevin, one of the local Hahn cars Bryan (06black) speaks of.
I have something that may be able to help, the clamp that holds the center section of the turbo together is pretty loose from the factory. The torque spec is only some low amount of inch pounds, but i found that mine leaked a good amount of oil. when your under there, tighten that clamp just a little bit, like we are talking hand tight here.
fixed my problem.

good luck with that bolt!

before you drill try an easy-out its a left hand drill bit that looks like a screw kinda and it grabs it and threads it out, if that doesent work then try a drill bit.

im not talking down on anyone here but for the others sake and them being scared away by problems, i would like to add that i am a mechanic and i didnt have one single hahn related problem in my build... it simply bolted on and i drove off, not a oil leak, boost leak, nothing ran ****...

if you are capable and work on cars for a living or are going to take it to somone professional for install dont be worried this is a very very solid kit that is true bolt on performance...

To be honest, Ive never work on a car.. and i was able to do this..

I obviously made some beginner mistakes.. But anything can be fixed.

Easy out.. where can i get one? i asked for that at home depot but they just gave me a drill bit...

Actually thats what i bought, but they told me to drill a hole first...

na, just noticed it was loose. i did have some oil leaking from that area but i was told by hahn it was the way i had my hoses routed that the turbo couldent drain properly after engine shut down and i would get a drop or two coming from there. nothing like what you have explained you obviously have a good size leak somewhere. i hope you fix it soon, i cant wait to see the excitment in your posts once you drive it for the first time...

hey you do have a wb right, if not do not go into pe untill you get one, also you need to monitor knock via a interceptor gauge and set your annunciator to go off when 1deg or more of KR is introduced.

you have to remember your pushing some ponies now, if your knocking or lean that motor is gonna go bye bye real fast,

my car was commanding a 12.20 afr from hahn and was running a 12.0 afr with a little knock, cause im on 91 and they tuned on 93...

just you have to remember this is a canned tune and somethings need to be confirmed before entering wot... afr, kr, boost. and preferably egt but what ev...

yeah yeah a little one in the broken bolt itself. i thought you meant your going to drill the turbo housing.

I just really hope i can get this bitch out.. if not... hello Band clamps + gorilla glue jk.. but seriously this is whack.. haha..

I do not have a wb... Ive been REALLY needing one though... I might hit the gas a few times but generally ill make sure to stay out of pe.
