Max speed is dictated by the bearings

Eaton shows up to 17500 RPM; but we know based on the m62 that it can go considerably faster

I've been really thinking about this lately. What if we run an under driven crank pulley(smaller like 5.75) to slow the blower down for the guys that like to rev high above 7500 and so on to keep the blower speed down and more efficient?

I am still waiting to see what maps Harrop has for the blowers. From what I have found though it looks like the m62 takes over 60hp to spin at 16,000 rpm at 20 psi.

The 1900 looks to take around 100 hp to turn it at 18000 rpms and 18 psi which is about 40hp more than the M62 but the air output of the 1900 is way higher so it is more efficient than the M62 overall.

Edit Just saw the M62 at 16000 so IIRC the 1900 at 16000 was around 85 hp to drive it which is not far off the M62.

That's my findings too. So to make 500hp the engine is actually putting out at least 600hp

Hey guys, in reference to the debate about how much HP the laminovas can handle. I found this article with the formulas to calculate . I don't know the dimensions of the cores but here it is for someone more knowledgeable than me. Hope it helps.Lamiflow Intercooler FAQ

With 370whp a good driver should dip into the high 11's. That's quick no matter how you look at it.

Everyone on this site is so focused on dyno queen numbers.
Agreed.
I will definitely be interested in this blower set up as I am looking for more than my 1.2L Twinscrew. I enjoy the linear power band of the supercharger. As i recall my twinscrew put down 354whp and around 330tq on E100 with Meth and supporting mods back in 06-07. I was big in the street racing scene and consistently beat 12 sec cars. High 11's/ low 12's was the average with traction running 245-45-17 555r's . Myself and 2kSS/SC were supercharger swap OG's along with a few others. Had a lot of issues at the start, but further kit development and tuning finally got me the power I was looking for. Some people just don't want turbo, and with supercharging you have to PAY to PLAY. A guy in Florida had a 1.33L Kennebell on his cobalt around the same time which was very fast. I have raced quite a few Tvs cars and they could not compare to my torque monster 14psi at 2k and 25-26psi up top, not to mention the cool blower whine of the twinscrew.
Put me on the list for one of these blowers set ups as I think i could gain an easy extra 100whp. I was excited when I saw the Hotrod magazine article back in 09 and have been awaiting a 1.9L kit, thanks OTTP!

I remember you guys and your TS.

Do you still have your graph? I'll add you to the dyno thread.

It's not linear, but it is close

Notice the line becoming more obtuse

Take a look at what the mp62 is doing at 2.2 PR by 15,500 rpm

Delta temps are outrageous and it robs almost as much power as a Tvs 1900 at 18 psi / 15,500 rpm

Applied for a job last week, going to be another week or two until I get a call back probably. If I get the job, I'll be buying this by January.

I'll relocate my radiators , cut my front support and roll hoodless if someone would just make this without worrying about making it fit in the same footprint as the stock IM.

I'm pretty sure ZZP tried a style similar like that and the gains were minimal so it was never released.

Interesting. That car is local to me and so is the guy that did the fab work on it. Both of them are great friends with LSJion

I know this would make it more laggy but I don't get why more people don't go with an intercooled supercharger setup.

If this is a stupid question I apologise, I honestly don't know nearly as much about custom options for our supercharger setup.
