Cant remember what the stage 3 comes with...isnt it tvs, injectors, harness, tune, h/e, spark plugs and belt? If i was right that was a good guess. I highly suggest getting a meth injection kit. That will allow you to up the timing in the tune. If you are new to cars then tuning isnt something you want to be messing around with yet. All i can say is custom tuning is the best option. OTTP will send you a tune but you still have to find someone with hp tuners...if thats the option you pick...not sure how that works.

Also exhaust is a good mod too...lol

A tune for your computer its absoluetly necessary for a TVS build. It modifies your computer from all stock levels to pretty much anything you want. Talk to a tuner, I dont know everything about tunes so im not gonna give you false info. I do know its needed to run a TVS though! Im running one now!

I would recommend a 3" exhaust over the magnaflow. Try vibrant, if your running a TVS then your more than likely gonna pull over 300hp. I know i wouldnt have paid as much as i did to not get more than 300HP.

Nice to see another virginian in here!

yes OTTP will send you a tuned PCM, I wouldnt recommend it. Not saying that its bad or doesnt work, but building a TVS supercharged car i would want something a little more custom. Thats my opinion. OTTP is a great vendor and if you choose for them to send you their tune youll be fine.

My car club East Coast Cobalts is sponsored by a speed shop in NC and we get alot of work done there. They do tuning so maybe thats something you could look into. There are tuners in VA though you just gotta look them up. Im not in the states right now so i wouldnt be able to show you around.

I come back in august for 2 weeks so if you still need help i might be able to help out more.

The "base" OTTP Stage 3 kit is only the TVS, 80lb injectors, and 1-step colder plugs. You can add on stage 2 belt (needed), h/e (needed), etc, etc. Minimum I'd say to run the TVS safely is intake, h/e, full exhaust on top of those additions I put down to the Stage 3 kit. And a tune obviously, but if you have a GOOD tuner in your area, I'd seek them out as the OTTP tune wont be bad, but it's still a canned tune and a custom one will be MUCH better for the car. Just remember that all the power from the TVS comes from a good tune and timing. And the secret to timing is meth

Here's some links to DEFINITELY check out. They'll answer a lot of the questions you have, I promise

Yea I definitely would.

Just as a reference, I have the TVS with a 2.9" pulley, full exhaust, intake, and a h/e and I put down 303whp/265wtq. Not the highest numbers ever but for a pretty base setup with no meth and just a h/e to cool it, that's not half bad
