It should be good pulley for pulley but over all the htv has more potential

15K continuous and 16K max are the ratings for the twinscrew. Yes, indeed the TVS has more room to play around with. We tried to get whipple W75AX which is the same as the 1200AX, but it has forged rotors and better bearings for 22000rpms, but they discontinued making them. Kenne Bell also stopped production on their 1.33L blowers and they won't deal outside a complete kit, so that left us with the 1200AX as the only option back in the day.

the ts is still a good upgrade if your looking to get into the 280-300whp range... but thats it...

That totally sucks. The 1200AX is not really considered efficient as far as twinscrews go either (Still WORLDS better than the M62) - but the TVS is basically runnin with this efficiency-wise and is much cheaper (for now). IF we had other options for Twinscrews, I am sure that things would get exciting. I really HATE the way that the TS mounts (Small mounting surface) and how crappy the snout section is - the designers dropped the ball on that one.

Kudos to Rebel for working around these flaws and getting a working package!

I made 272whp on my low rating Mustang dyno with it, and there was still a lot more tuning to go. I think I could have made more power easily if the setup was 100% at the time. That would be the equivalent to 308whp on the local Dynojet's, so that's not shabby considering the blower was screaming hot when I laid down those numbers and I still didn't get to use my meth. I think with meth and finishing tuning I could have made about 300-315whp on the Mustang dyno realistically. We'll see when I get back in June/July time frame as to what I can squeeze out when all is said and done.

the guys with the tvs had some low rating dyno's to 2.6 pullied setups putting down like 244hp on theres then 290 on the tvs, i think that is a great improvement

Oh I whole heartedly agree on this one. I undestand that, but a lot of others on here do not. I'm not a dyno numbers guy anyhow. What the car does on the street and at the track is what I'm all about. I know both blowers are perfectly capable of packing a punch, with the TVS having a upper hand due to it's advances in eficiency and design over the old 1200AX. Either way, I'd be more than willing to run against the TVS for ***** and giggles.

Hey if I loose, I'll just go home and get my Integra to come out and play instead!

As far as overspining the TS goes a 2.7 pulley will take it to the 16000 max but people have 2.5 pullies on a stock M62 wich is spinning 17500 over the rated 14500. So you can see the room to go with what they rate it at.

You mean to tell me Mase that there is still a little huff left in that bad boy! Holy crap that is quite interesting. Hmmmmm.....

Also, I thought it was 15000 continuous and 17000 max for the M62.

Cast rotors or not, I would be the one to overspin it.

Can someone just give me a briefe sum up of these. I just want to know which is the ts. which one did rebel just put out, and what would be best for a mid 300whp? sorry for loosing track of all this stuff

The TVS is rated at 18,000 for oem 100,000+ mile life.

The thing people dont realize is that the "small" rotor in the Twin Screw is spinning SIGNIFICANTLY faster than the pulley speed. For a typical 5/3 lobe screw, the pulley spinning 16,000rpm, which means the Small rotor is spinning 26,667 RPM!!!!!!!!!!!

The TVS has a 1/1 rotor ratio, which means with the same saftey factor of the TS, the TVS can spin 26,667 rpm

There are only two options (although called by many names)

Eaton/Harrop TVS/HTV R1320

OR

Rebel TwinScrew AX1200
