Valve spring install

Hey, how much have you guys been charged for having valve springs and or neutral balance shafts installed? Searched everywhere for a how to, is it that hard of a job?

if ur guna have neutral balance shafts put in you might as well build the motor lol springs you can do yourself hella easy

Your gonna pay quite a bit for the balance shaft install in terms of hours. I know on the J-body, there is not enough room between the frame rail and the engine to get them out, hence the engine must be dropped/removed. Even if you can do it in the car, you still have to the water pump chain in a very tight space.

That said, if you have a shop manual and are mechanically inclined, or someone who knows how or has done it before to help, you can save some serious money.

there is enough room to put the balancing shafts in with the motor in the car, just gotta be creative. The valve springs are cake, just time comsuming. Make sure you get the correct valve spring compressor.
