i myself dont think the tko is gonna last. ive seen them behind 800+hp motors beforte, however nothing with a proper 4 link and the size of tire under it you have. it is after all only rated at 600ft/lb torque. i think a lenco st1200 would be a far better setup. may want to give it some serious thought before you buy the tko.

check out this vid of an st1200 in a fairlane http://videos.streetfire.net/video/W...ord_166416.htm

I recall that you have tried to get me to look at a Lenko transmission before. I think perhaps the cost was a lot higher and the many shifters seems like having to learn how to shift all over again.

I will ask more questions and research this transmission before making a choice.

On to a different note, I also recall you offering to do some work on the car if it was home......

it will be more money, i cant argue that, but its less money in the long run as you wont have to buy a 2nd or 3rd TKO after you have blown the first ones up. i cant think of any H-pattern tranny thats going to stand up to the power you want to put down, thats why again i brought up the lenco again. here is the link http://www.lencoracing.com/ST1200MasterPage.html

and on a side note, yes i did offer to help out with the project. when you have your "see the car day" i will come out and we can go from there

danm wish I knew that you were ditching the turbo before I ordered the new one for the rx-7, that 45r would have been dangerous

I will call for a price on the Lenco tomorrow and I will let you know when we will all get together to see the car.

Some changes couldn't be avoided. Of course now I have 2 turbo's for sale if you want.

I have other ideas of things you may want now that everything is home.

I just got off of the phone with Matt @ Lenco and the price for the ST-1200 isn't bad at all, very comparable to what I would pay for a built Powerglide. Now I just need to decide if I want a 4 speed or a 5 speed for an extra $1,000.US.

It was nice to be able to give good news for a change. Things will start happening faster now and if my parts thread gets things sold, things can move even faster still.
