Are you guys gonna put it on an engine dyno? You should definatly do that, then you know EXACTLY how much power its making, and you can show over 1000 hp (maybe)

Give your wife a high-five for me because she allows you to do something like this. My girlfriend does not care 2-***** about any of my main passions (cars+guitars). You are a lucky man indeed.

Yes it will tuned on an engine dyno. The complete setup, turbo's and all will be tested and tuned before the engine even goes in the car.

Maybe???? You do realize that the Phase 5 Cobalts only uses a gt42 turbo to get well over 1,000hp. Compare that to my GT45.

I tell her everyday that she is the best wife for me. I also tell her many forum members want to know how to get a wife just like her.

A bbq after a small road trip for you CA peeps.
I know some from Washington and Oregon have expressed intentions of showing up for the meet and it would be really cool if guys from CA came up too.

Finished crankshaft

Finally the first crankshaft is done and shipped. It looks nice will the finally holes drilled.
If you look closely you will notice a slight boo-boo which doesn't make me happy.
When the crank gets to JBP it will be measured and weighed to ensure proper balancing.

Hmm based on what I see I wouldnt want to put that into my motor that is built up as big as it is. get a new one. and they should be able to do twice as fast and better now since they built that crank and screwed it up.

I sent an email asking them is going on. I also talked to JBP and Mev's first opinion is to wait and see it at his shop. It may have been balanced taking into consideration that "bite." None the less, I paid for a new crankshaft not a damaged one. If this one was dropped there may be other stress fractures. I am not happy at all.
The only good thing is that they are working on a second crank for me so the delay won't be as bad as if they had to do it over. The spare engine can wait for a crank.
Depending on the shops response, I may have to go to a different company BUT that adds months to this project. Scat wants 16 - 24 weeks to produce a crank.

I would hope that isn't the case. That is like saying "maybe he won't notice".

Sort of like buying a 1/4 pound hamburger with a bite taken out of it, but it was overweighed and still is a 1/4 pound.
