Vote! For the best compression Ratio

A lot of us are getting to the point where we want to do serious modding including me! So my question is what does everybody think is the best compression ratio? If you comment please explain why? and for steet or track purpose?

Best comp ratio for forced induction or N/A? I'm assuming for FI so my vote goes towards 9:1 because you can run some good boost on it but its not so low that you HAVE to run huge boost to make power. I have an eclipse friend that has 9:1 forged internals and is running massive amounts of boost (he owns a parachute (: )on a 2.3 stroker.

on the 2.0 being that you are limited in how much boost you can throw at it I think it would hurt you to have a drop in compression. and since the blower takes power to make some an increase in compression would be ideal. I would step up to a 10:1 compression personally...not too radical but still a bump up.

However, I think the unfortunate thing is that with the m62 blower we can't really make anymore efficient boost after 19-22 psi b/c of the heat and the fact that he blower will die. However, this is all done on 9.5:1 compression for our stock cars so I figure maybe go with a pulley that isn't so small to not push the blower too much, generate less heat and more efficient power. I think extra compression will make up for the lack of extra boost from a small pulley be safer.
