No grease ftw! You need to take it to the dealer if you under warranty or have a gm pulley on the blower, if not take that bad boy off the car yourself make sure the bearings are still in a straight line and not bad, and you can just re-pack them with grease.

If there are no performance problems then I'd let it go. If the bearings go then you'll have a problem. I'm guessing its the coupler. It connects the snout to the roter gears. It wears and vibrates.

My car has all of 1500 miles on it,so I don't think it's a wear issue. The only time I hear it is when the hoods open.So my solution?close hood.I've had some experience with roots blowers but only of the 6-71 and 8-71 variety.

i think its the throttle body... haha cause mine went bad and had to be replaced, it kept making sounds at idle that made me cringe, i put an automotive stethescope up to the throttle body, mainly the actuator and that where the strongest sound was, of course the gm tech wouldnt take my word for it and had to diag it but thats when i had my bumper to bumper anyway so free tb yay! new one didnt match the s/c like the old one but oh well...

I have the common random clicking/rattling sound when it's warm. Sounds like marbles bouncing around in there...i heard it's the SC coupler or something...but who knows. It never makes the noise when i bring it in...and the dealer denies ever hearing the cars make that noise, they also say our chipping wheel paint doesn't happen either...

take it to the dealer and say "i think the throttle actuator is bad on my throttle body, its making a nasty noise at idle" they might send someone out right there to listen to it, and then they will say, "we need to bring it in and diagnosis it." then they will call you up later and say that they need to order a throttle body haha. or if thats not the issue the tech should figure out what the noise is for himself and fix it under warentee

Not really. They can go bad pretty quickly in some cases. Some have replaced them and acutally went bad within a month. Simple test. Take the belt off the blower pulley. Grab the pulley and turn it back and forth. If you feel ANY slack before it catches then it's the coupler. Very easy to change. You'll need some bottles of supercharger oil, and to drain/fill the supercharger go to CVS and get a syringe (no needle) and a short length of vac line to fit over the end. Suck and fill But seriously, it's a very simple test that takes a minute to do. At least it eliminates one thing.
