Awesome stuff. I'm glad to see you guys are hard at work to get us the go-fast goodies we all want. A preprogrammed emange would definetly be something I'd look into.

Also, how's the build qaulity on the CF hood? I know some of them can look pretty crappy. Can it be used with the factory hood latch and hood strut?

I'm not real big on adding thing like CF hoods, but I really like the look of that one. I think it would look sharp on the SS/SC. I had a hood just like that for my 71 SS but it was a steel hood with a fiberglass scoop.

How much of a wieght savings is there from the CF from stock?

Also, I think it would look a bit better if there was an actual hole where the scoop entrance is supposed to be. How hard would the be to do and make it look good?

Well then, that solves that problem.

Who is the maker of the hood? Any ideas on pricing before shipping?

Hood looks awesoome ray! I did some photochops of an ss hood on the Cobalts SS/SC a while back. I know it'll look sweet on the car!

I would probably get the hood painted and leave the carbon fiber on the scoop exposed

I would really dig a CF hood with a scoop like the GM Cobalt SS/SC with the functioning scoop and air box....

That hood looks awesome. I like Voodoosoup's Idea of painting the hood back to the origional color of the car and just leaving the CF scoop.

Still wanna know how much weight savings it has..

Also, you should fabricate a custom intake to make the CF hood functional. Maybe sell it as one whole kit, or have the intake as an option.

There are some problems i see with a functional hood scoop. One would be the exessive intake piping needed to get the air from the hood, to the filter then back to the engine. You could contruct a box and place a cone filter in there and then have it go to the engine, but there is still one more problem. The piping would go directly over the engine thus heating up the intake ruining the colder air youre getting. Grand Prix's also have this problem and most with ram air hoods leave it unfunctional. I would say that you really wouldnt get much if any power gain from making it functional.
