What is the difference?

Is there any difference between the stock ss/sc exhaust system compared to the GMPP performance cat back, besides the muffler obviously. Stock is 2.5" until the axel then turns to 2.25" so would this be the same as the performance cat back?

If thats the case, couldn't someone remove the stock muffler and simply install the performance (or touring) muffler to system rather than going out buying a whole cat back?

this is not true, the gmpp cat backs are 2.25 piping that seems to flow better for smaller piping must have to do w/ better bends and hi flow res/muffler.

GMPP is 2.25. Stock is 2.25 and drops to 1.75 at the muffler. I don't think you can buy JUST the GMPP muffler.

The GMPP exhaust I believe is the same as the Borla exhaust. It is all the way 2.25" mandrel bent high flow with a high flow muffler.

The GMPP exhaust is straight through, unlike the stock setup. People will soon chime in and say why go with the GMPP its only 2.25" you need to go bigger, truth is the GMPP will show gains on most cars up to the 300whp level than after that a bigger exhaust will give you more gains.

And Yes Borla makes the GMPP exhaust
