What is the Difference between OTTP S2 vs ZZP S3?

So from looking at the parts there isn't much of a difference between the two, but OTTP is cheaper with all the extra goodies added on...What I would like to know is the performance pros and cons of each. I would assume the OTTP would be the better deal, its $10 cheaper then ZZP and has a list of options and the ls4 tb as where the zzp doesn't. I know the tune is probably the most important part....any insightful information would be well appreciated =D

go with ottp. ZZP has good parts but the tune is absolute ****. just look around a little bit and you'll see how many people have problems with their tune. or you can just piece together your own stage kit.

You live in Ypsi, and I hear 06black is supposed to be really good. Just piece together your own kit and get a custom tune from him.

Well I will have to research that and pm him....do a lay-a-way style build haha one piece at a time >..<

Well this is what I have pieced together from ZZP so far, but what kind of cooling mods should I get, if I go with either Dual pass + opt b or S3 H/E it costs more than the kit and I haven't even contact 06 about custom tuning pricing.

I went with zzp stuff just to get that nice heat exchanger for a good price , buy your parts from them and get your tune from someone near you . Running zzp tune is not going to happen so make sure you find a custom tuner and prepare to remove your front bumber to install that h/e :P

Well what I have so far is:

http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...ts1.php?id=446 with the 2.8 pulley

http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...ts1.php?id=992

http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...ts1.php?id=578

All of that is 289.97 in the cart....with any form of cooling mods its like 539 dollars....thats rediculous plus the cost of someone to custom tune me...any ideas on cheaper cooling mods haha

Dual pass endplate is pretty awesome, and I think both vendors (ZZP/OTTP) have one where when you return the core it ends up being about $100.

You can get a reasonably sized heat exchanger from the SVT Cobras forums for about 75 bucks, you'll just have to make the brackets yourself (easier than it sounds) but it's just as effective and way cheaper.

I'd skip the tensioner pulley and just get a stage 2 belt. $45 but easier to install. I'm on a 2.7 and it doesn't slip.

A tune is going to run you around $200, more or less.

Ah I see. Well I would probably go with the Dual Pass/Opt B. I would assume that would be sufficient enough cooling for daily driving correct? It would still be rediculously priced out, from zzp....stage 3 with shorter belt and S3 H/E 525....pieced together kit with dual pass opt b and bracket is 689 minus 100$ store credit for stock unit so 589...still have to get a custom tune either way >.< OTTP seems to be the cheapest with their H/E instead of dual pass is 505.
