What Difference in exhaust piping?

Whats the difference in power between a 2.5" and 3" piping on a 2007 SS S/C?

because i went with 3inches and some people say i should have gone 2.5..and some say 3 inches is good...i do not know the difference though..i would think 3 inches is better..more airflow..but..idk..help? lol

Depending on your mods and plans you may have made a good choice.

So what are your mods...and plans?

3" is overkill for the amount of power u would be putting out, maybe on a nicely tuned 2.7" pulley and some e85 3" would be justifiable, but anything else, 2.5 is were u should be

Even on the 2.8, 2.5" is enough.

If you plan on running a small pulley go with a 3inch exhaust so you have less boost. It will be less stress/strain on the motor too. The less boost the better.
