Whats your boost?

Yhis may sound strsnge but my boost guage reads way higher than it should. Iknowe they should be getting around 12.5 psi, but at redline mine reads 17.5,I only have an injen intake. Have any of you had any guage malfunctioning problems?

I ran 12.5psi stock and am at 16psi with GM stage 2.
If your pushing that much boost stock then ether your catt is on its way out or that gauge is broken.
Get in and have the dealer check it out ASAP! But take the intake off and go back to stock first so they dont give you crap about it.

Did i mention my car only has 880 miles on it. Is it possible for the cat to go out that fast. And what could the consequences be if I don't get it fixed soon?

yeah... thats not right man. 16psi on a stock engine with low milage..... get that to the dealer.

i kno i only run 10.5-11 (11 if im lucky), but that is because i am at high altitude. the altitude is only making a negative 1 to 1.5lb difference tho. so running nearly 4psi higher doesnt sound good.

or maybe you have a super super sport cobalt =P
