ok i think me and my dad are gonna finally build my motor and i need to get some prices......ive found 4 places... ottp, speedmafia, turbotechracing, and intence..... is there anywhere else? and do i really need rods? i might at the most get 400 hp...... Please help!! lol

Only replace your rods if they are broken. They actually can hold alot of power.

Personally, TTR or OTT would be your best bet. I just dont trust intense, and speedmafia is not a Registered Vendor on this site, so its always cool to get from the companies who put time and money into this community.

Rods are not needed, PM us we don't try to "sell" you parts. We will evaluate what you would like to achieve and make a suggestion of a build....

 

our rods are plenty strong enough. im in the piston market as well and dont know who to buy from. i got a hell of a deal from my local shop last year on some 9.5:1 diamonds with rings but i kinda burned my bridge w that dude. i have yet to see anyone come near to that price.

 

So you were offered a good price, but never purchased? Maybe they were givin you a line of BS on the price last year...

 

no i bought them for my build last year but ended up blowin my engine. i just havnt found a good price this time around

go to aaron from turbo tech racing cant beat the price on thosee diamond forged pistons

 

if you are buying rods just buy rods and pistons for a 2.2. the only differnece is piston pin diameter so if you upgrade rods and pistons both then you are fine. plus then the parts are cheaper since lsj stuff tends to be expensive. rod length compression height everything is the same other than piston pin diameter. bore is same jsut crank stroke is different.

Not you... There are places that try to sell the coatings, and they are known to not last very long. They work well at first, but in all reality they dont help forever...

Customers can get coatings (that is why we offer them), but IMO they are not what they are what they are stated to do, forever....

So we dont try to sell/push the coatings...

So don't assume other places are trying to always direct things towards you. It was never meant to be...
