With pay pal. But this was back in Feb. Pay Pal wouldn't do anything anyways. The only way they will is if what you bought isn't anywhere near what was described. Do I feel I should be reimbursed some money back? Absolutely. But even if you don't want to at least have some ***** to talk to me about what happened. But I guess what do you say when you **** up building a motor.

Wow......

Sorry to hear that man. Its absolute bull that the seller wont respond, especially with a higher dollar item, and its very short lifespan.

That is the exact reason I haven't got a built motor yet. Ive had a couple I had my eye on and then backed off for fear of exactly what happened to you. You just don't seem to have any luck!

I hope he grows a pair soon.

I've been crazy busy dude but I did get your message I didn't really have time to respond. The picture u sent me had vertical scratches down the cylinder wall. Absolutely nothing was loose in the short block as I took pics of everything and told you every clearance I set in the bottom end. Whatever flew up that cylinder wall was a contaminate. Did u clean the block after you got it? I sent it with 1 bolt in the oil pan and the top of the block wide open. If you didn't take the pan off and at the absolute minimum blow it out and clean it that would be your issue.

No matter how it looked when Kx sent it, if you didn't go through everything & clean it completely out then it's your fault. You knew about the marks on the sleeves & decided to run it? & now you wanna point fingers? If you just bought it & threw it in then you can't point fingers except at yourself. Not checking clearances (for your self, not just going off what Kx said) and not cleaning it thoroughly is something that should always be done.

Billy the vertical scratches I sent you in the pics are the vertical scratches that were already in the cylinder when I got the motor. They just got way worse when the motor was run... I didn't even use your oil pan. Everything was cleaned and inspected before assembly.

So you took it completely apart to a Bare block, checked all your clearances & gaps, then reassembled?

& cleaning does not mean going over it with some brake clean

Read you dumb ****. I did not know about the cylinder scoring till I received the motor. Billy said not to worry about it. So it was either tear the motor down and sleeve it or hope for the best.

The were 3 HORIZONTAL scratches that could even be felt with my finger nail. There was not 30+ vertical scratches like the picture u sent me. A reputable machine shop honed the block and told me the light scratches would be fine.

No there wasn't billy. It was worse than that. But you're right it was very very light scoring. You still never told me about them before purchasing it...But that doesn't explain the spun bearing in the bottom end once I started to spin the motor.

Not checking the clearances might explain it can't cry about it if you didn't even bother checking those things

If you bought an assembled motor from ZZP would you tear it down to check all clearances?

I knew going into it buying someone else's built motor was taking a gamble. And I'm not demanding anything. Just a little pissed off Billy has been avoiding me on this.

You're god damn right I would. But then again, I don't buy my engines built because i'm not a dumb **** and I do the work myself. It also helps preventing things like this. That way I know things are done right

I had another motor in the car a week an a half later haha. Ride the stock bottom end while I build this one the way it should have been done the first time.

Any damage to the crank? Going to be reusing it?
