i recently acquired a set of 6 36lbs injectors from a GTP
what size are the stock ones and will these fit?
the computer would stilll need the reflash but that saves me some dough if these work

 

stock is 35-36lb injectors

also the gtp's have a different plug

 

does anyone have any proof of this? Thats a big injector to be maxing out with a 2.0 w/ small supercharger. GTPs dont max out their injectors (36#) until they get around a 2.9 pulley but thats with a m90 and 3.8L engine. I would highly doubt the SS/RL have 36# injectors from the factory. And if they did, they would not be maxing them out with just a pulley change.

 

remember that is 36 lbers X 6, we have 36 lbs X 4. Anyways from the best of my knowledge they are actually 42 lbers which apparently are beeing run at 40 psi fuel pressure. Someone mentioned that the stage 1 injectors would be 42 lbers still but operate at 60psi. I am not sure however.

 

it may be 6x36, but we have more cu in. per cylinder than you (38.5 vs 30.25???).

 

Is it not in the build book somewhere as to what size injectors are stock? And what would be needed for higher HP levels? I don't feel like looking.......

 

ive got 30lb in my cav with the m45 gm s/c , and they are too small

ive got a friend in VA , that builds the injecotrs , they are 35-36 lb injectors

im putting the 2.0 s/c injecotrs on my cav , so i can drop the pressure some , since ive got it maxed at 60psi , and im still lean under boost , low 13's at 6-7psi

alot of the gtp guys i know jump to 42lb injectors , alot sooner than a 2.9 pulley

 

The 3800 supercharged is 240 HP isn't it and 6 injectors? We are easily 215 HP and 4 injectors

I don't think it's a leap that we have 36# injectors in that case. I don't know much about them tho.

 

Stock GTP's injectors are probably flowing less than the Cobalt SS one, since stock for stock both car produce roughly the same BHP and the Cobalt SS do it with only 4 injectors.

I don't think you should do that, also the connector are probably different.
