If vacuum is in the single digits wouldn't that indicate a leaks some where (or a very high idle) ? I'm asking not stating. The vacuum in my car hasn't changed since it was new so i would guess my car's engine health is ok. Again i'm asking . Thx for any help .

Mine would be at 15-18 at idle, and it idled at 1100.

Hmm.. Mine fluctuates when warming up from -20 to -15, then warmed up sits exactly at -20.

by negative i assume you refer to in/hg and not negative psi. i idle at 850 and my pressure is 19in/hg.

Between 55 and 65 kpa depending on the weather and how warm the car is....

That's about 18 inches mercury on average.....

Mine sits at -16.5 mercury at peak operating temperature and may sometimes drop to -20 mercury on deceleration. Now I also have a mechanical boost gauge and believe they are more accurate than our stock gauges.

cheers
