I've always been told if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all. However, here I find myself torn.

I guess I am one of those "guys" that wishes everyone the best of luck instead of putting them down. I also do find your TTP's (Tactics Techniques & Procedures) quite offensive and rude. My response to this is simple... We shall see in due time how much fail others will have. From what I can tell so far, you have failed me as the potential customer, and I am now glad that I did not send my hard earned cash your way.

I wish you the best of luck with your 2.3L strokers and hope you keep you clientel. As for me, we'll see how much fail I have coming my way down the road and how much that I'll wish I had went a different route.

it was truth actually.

mid 13's eh? really? i thought the 12.63 i ran was way faster than mid 13's. **** me. all these years i thought the lower the number was faster. man, thank you uzoma for setting me straight. i will go out right now and rip everything off my car and make it run 13's again.

there is nothing secret about my tune. there is variations of it all over the country, and international.

stock clutch? yepo. still holding at 85,479 miles.

as far as me taking a jab at zzp. i wasn't actually. people on here are sheep and need to be brought up to speed on potential problems. nothing more nothing less.

So people on here need to know about a guy with a 3800 crank that snapped? Interesting...

Where are all the other ones you have witnessed or were you lying about that too?

I wish everyone the best of luck. I don't want to see anyone fail. However, anything that is a critical thinking can do statistical analysis of people that fail vs. people that suceed. Far too many people just 'take a stab' at something and hope for the best. I'm not saying you're doing that, it would very well be that you make more power than anyone here with a very reliable setup. I hope you do. Most other people don't.

This discussion is very similar to those we had 4-5 years ago on ClubGP, I have no reason to believe this market will be any different.

it was your product.
see the correlation here? take the dsm world. has a bad reputation for breaking for no reason, and crank walk. do they all do this? no, not even close. does the reputation of the dsm take away from people who might enjoy them? yes it does. if more people knew facts about the issues at hand. more people would be prepared for if and when something will happen. you can only stretch a rubber band so far before it snaps.

I'd say im doing all right... (i did every single thing my self) There are some of us out here we dont all FAIL total miles on engine are 34,000 mods are, ARP, COMETIC, DIAMOND, SUPERTECH 78'S.... VERY VERY RELIABLE I DRIVE 300MI EVERY WEEKEND... + 100MI DURING THE WEEK.

just an example, looking at it from my point of view...
hell my first stock motor setup lasted 2 years at over 400whp and 22psi driven daily, and motor was still good when pulled. Last motor blew from me being greedy, nothing was wrong with the build, had I left it at 25 psi I never would have had an issue.

anyway, 2.3 ltr stroker would be fun to see boosted on the street. Was thinking of building one up next summer if I decided to dive back into the cobalt (and the rx-7 holds together lol).

1 person has a bad experience. 10 people get told about it.

10 people have a good experience. 1 person gets told.

i have lied about nothing on my car. why would i? to appease people on the internet i will likely never meet? yea, that is something that ranks really high on my list of things to do.

The problem here is that the header leaked in the first place. ZZP has had so many problems in there exhaust department that it's just dumb. It's good that they took care of it, but I have bought TONS of products from other vendors and have never had a single issue. The only vendor I have ever had issues with is zzp. But to each there own.

As far as zzp sharing information and specs, I really don't see why they wouldn't. I mean a lot of "sane" people would never drop several grand and not know what there buying. The only time zzp gets bigger builds/clients/projects is when these no name noobs come in that know absolutely nothing and just hand them cash to get the job done. They know NOTHING about whats going in or out of there car. They could be getting screwed over and not even know about it. Then you have the people that work there and do builds but that's different.

Eh, some people will never learn.

Wow. More BS from Area. Why do you love to act like you know so much about things you so obviously know nothing about?

You said "numerous" and then find 1 and say it's the truth? The funny thing is that we haven't sold that motor for about 6 years. Even if you considered it a design flaw you would have to admit that most custom engines in that market fail within days of installation. On the other hand, we have not had a single failure on any ZZP 3800 shortblock.
