Yes they are, but people still seem to be able to install it backwards. This used to be one of the most common issues when people installed intakes on these cars.
I'm just gonna take it off and put the other AEM intake on and old tune, then just to see what's wrong with it. I had copper plugs in it and it would hesitate.Regapped them to .033,ran fine, did the intake and tuned it.Ran like crap so I put in irduim plugs and still runs like crap. . I was throwing a PO302,cylinder 2 now its misfiring in cylinder 4. So fustrating UGH
im looking at the intake now
and it says this below
This is a true full length 3" aluminum intake tube, not just a shorty pipe or a 2.5" tube that is expanded in enough spots to claim that it is 3 inches in diameter. ZZP spends the extra time to make a great looking, lighter than stock, and over performing product. Power gains are typically between 8-12 whp and it is noticeably louder than the stock OEM piece. When changing the size and shape of the tube that the MAF is in, it is recommended that the PCM file be tweaked to compensate. Not required, but it could set a P0171 code.

yea i just skimpped thru the thread as im about to purchase this intake as well
after i posted i saw u were having more serious problems with misfires in certain cylinders instead of p0300 random misfire

if you replaced the ignition parts, and the injectors, and the intake isnt leaking anywhere, that would throw a lean code though, then sorry to say your missfire is mechanical buddy
I took the car to the stealership and they told me its the injectors. I dont understand because I swapped them out already. Anyone has a issue with crank or cam sensor causing a P0300 and PO172? I have done so much that those are the only things I haven't touched.
I have a 2007 Chevy cobalt 2.2 4cyl Lt. my check engine light is on, also the traction service light. check engine light is reading PO3O2. I have replaced cylinder number two, spark plug in number 2, fuel injector..not sure what else to do. Cylinder 2 is also getting low compresion of 90.
