ZZP HE install

Im having a **** load of problems getting things to line up. The side brackets dont seem to wanna go over the bolt sticking out. Any advice for install, can i just cut those off without worrying about structural integrity?

No, do not cut them off. Mine did the same thing as yours. If you get the h/e on there as if you were to mount it, see if the corners[of the h/e] are hitting on some extra material on the crashbar, preventing it from going up far enough to mount those outer tabs on the studs. I just removed 1/2 inch of this "extra material" on each side and it mounts up perfect. If you don't, it will likely end up like this...

Really dont wanna remove the bumper. On the corner tabs, i was looking at them this morning and can see where the screw was rubbing at right near the hole from zzp, im just gonna drill another if i cant bend the tabs around to get it lined up.

i just bought the zzp s2 heat exchanger. my question it how in the hell can u screw that top 90 degree fitting in the side? you can only go a 1/4 turn then it hits the mounting bracket.

^^^^ maybe someone should make a how to on this... perhaps that would cut down on these repeated posts of people not being able to install them correctly?

You dont need too, i tried it again last night with the car in the air and used a jack to help hold it up and it went on first try. Just go to autozone and get straight fittings for it. ZZP decieded not to send me any so thats what i did.

Agreed. I took my bumper off when I installed my H/E. No problems.
