The ZZP HE that I received today has a nice painted ZZP logo on it. Nice... isn't really what I had in mind. It is very ugly and dumb looking. Too bad they didn't note that on the website. I guess I'l have to paint this thing too before I install it. WTF

 

haha i went ahead with the zzp h/e as well and got it last week. got it to fit without modifiying the bumper like some have to do. but yeah i coulda did without the logo. but i guess i never really look at it that hard to see it. but thats why im looking for the lower t/c grill to cover it up!!!!!

 

I don't believe the TC grille will cover it up enough. I have a Pontiac G5 GT and it has a pretty neat grille down there that hides much more behind it, but something about the logo still bothers me. I think I'll just paint it.

 

Zoomer has already stated that if you spray the h/e with brake clean it'll come off.

 

I dont understand why you are all bitching. You saw it there in the beginning. Dont ******* buy it if your sad about the paint.

then just write in the comments section you dont want the ZZP logo painted on it when you order yours. Its not rocket science guys....

 

well considering brake clean removes paint, its not hard to push a button and spray it down! costs maybe $3 quit whining! lazy people, it takes 10 seconds of your life away!!!

 

I just put my ZZP heat exchanger on and it does work. Love the look as well.

 

I'd like to think I'm a pretty intelligent individual and when I ordered my heat exchanger last week the pics don't show a logo. The pic at the top appears to have a watermark or trademark for the photo, but would not guess it is paint.

When I receive it... it is big RED letters... not advertised anywhere.

So, if I go to order it, and there are no logos on the pics on the site and there is no message about me having to write a note if I don't want a logo... then how the hell am I supposed to know to write them a message asking not to send me one with a logo?

I run a multi-million dollar parts business and I don't sell parts on my site that look like one thing and send the customer another.

Thanks for letting me know it will come off with brake cleaner. I'll try to do that. If I have to paint it I'm probably not going to be happy. I may run it over with my truck and order one from OTTP and not order from ZZP any longer.

BTW... I'm far from lazy. I paid for a new part which did not show a logo on the site. I shouldn't have received one that has a logo with lettering the size of a billboard. I didn't get a discount on the HE for the advertising and I don't want some goofy logo on my brand new part I purchased.

it is if he wants to order other stuff and would hesitant because he finds it a hassle, then ZZP loses business. Yes, its a simple fix, yeah probably not worth 1 person complaining about it, but its a pricipal that could cost a company business, and thats a big deal.

 

The HE's are discounted, as you will all see shortly. It's a premium product that should be priced around $300 when all factors are taken into consideration.

When we start selling the same China ones as OTT here shortly, they will not have our logo on them as they are not built by us. The price of them will be low and the price of the ZZP units will go up.

In terms of being intelligent, I consider myself reasonably intelligent as well. I have an idea I'd like to offer as an alternative to running over your HE with a truck and buying a new one. Email customer service and have the HE replaced with one that doesn't have a logo. I'm not a rocket scientist but to me that seems a reasonable alternative to destroying it??

I have the OTTP H/E. but I'm having a hard time bleeding the air out. it is taking forever to do. had it on since monday

 

I understand your theory on the discount, but from what I see on the site currently, I don't get a discount for the advertising.

As far as sending one back, I know how much of a hassle that is just to exchange things for someone in my situation. All year long it happens to me (GM Parts Business) and it really eats up the shipping charges.

I will probably spray it with brake cleaner and if it doesn't work I'll just paint it. I'd really like to run it over with my truck but then the HE will be worthless and I would waste money.

Some people may understand or may not understand my reasoning. I have a brand new car, 2009, with 3,000 miles on it and I'm adding the supercharger. I want it to look as factory as possible (lol) and the logo will not really go with the look I'm looking after.

I'm spending a lot of money on fixing up my engine compartment, etc, as I've powdercoated the supercharger, etc, so it really IS that important to me.

At this point I'd be happy just to see it fixed on the website.

I've been holding off on ordering the triple gauge pillar (as I need that) from you, but am hot about the HE.

Can you guys provide me free shipping on that pillar or something and then I can just pay for the pillar?

Just spray brake cleaner on it and be done with it. Take's 2 minutes. You typing that out took longer than taking the paint off....

i love my zzp h/e... zzp has great customer service and i would certainly order from them again (if i can ever get my debit card to work right lol)... i don't notice the red because mine is painted in black

 

stupid nwb question here...but does the H.E. improve horsepower?i know it keeps u from blowing up my engine but if im just racing a hond on the street then going back to normal DD would i even need a H.E.?thanks guys i tried to do a search on this already and couldnt find a deff. answer

 

i would think if you would keep your foot out of it besides every now and then like u said i would think ud be ok. but im no expert. someone else will answer ur question much better then me!
