ZZP Stg2
Hello i'm new here and i've had my SS about a week or 2.
I have a question about the ZZP stage2..
Is it the same thing as the GM one?
Why is it so much cheaper?
I have no other mods done to my car it is bone stock and not under warranty.
Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance
PCM Core Charge
Oversized Tensioner pulley ( Should I get something else? Confused about this one)
2.9 Pulley
42# injectors
Option 4 - none ( yes no? )
I know this is probably a dumb question but I am super confused on this one.
Thanks!!

Get the stage 3 and make sure you get the stage 3 heat exchanger.... You'll end up getting the Heat exchanger eventually.. and plus you get a real good deal if you get the S3 kit.. and you can go to the 2.8 pulley, and 60#'s.. But also look for someone to tune your car after..

Before you even think of modding you need to do a lot of reading on here. But as Tstonee said go Stage 3, I have it and love it.
Stage 3
2.9 (if you have a 3in cai and header go 2.8 or lower)
go shorter belt, but look at a real GM S2 belt as I've read the ZZP one chunks and breaks apart over time.
60's w/gas tune. I cheated and had them install the kit so they flashed my stock PCM in the car and did a road test drive to make sure it was running good. I had perfect fuel trims and on a 90+ day IAT's less than 150.
Stage 3 H/E for sure..
and go for a dual pass, but get option B. makes things much easier. we spent 30 mins just trying to bleed my system out and it's still not all the way done.
Clutch is in the future after stage 3 or even 2 tbh.

So ok its bone stock. I could just take it to a local tuning shop and they could tune it all for me? or do they need some kind special program?
Thanks btw this has been very helpful.

To make a custom tune the shop needs to have knowlage with the cobalts and HPtuners. ZZP's canned tune is not as bad as it's made out to be. I can post a link to my car 0-100 with a can tune.
Being you all stock, I would start small. Like get a 3in CAI, and a 2.5 or 3in DP with a cat. Then go stage 3, and consider rotated trans mounts and a clutch relatively soon. then enjoy about 265 whp safely all day long. A road trip after you have everything installed and the canned tune to a shop that can dyno tune the car would be a good idea though, just refines the tune to your car and mods and you get a real whp number
