ZZP vs OTT?

I plan on purchasing 60LBS injectors/harness, ML Header/DP, CXracing H/e, and a 2.6 or 7 pulley very soon here.

I dont have ANYONE local to tune for me so i plan on getting one of the "send in your PCM" Can tunes. My question is who's tune generally is better ZZP or OTT?

any input would be great

OTT over ZZP any day, however me tuning you personally and logging and adjusting etc would be better then a can tuned.

however ott has great tunes, really really solid tunes.

Well i originally had tom aka wicked2005ss tune me. He showed me the ropes and I watched what he did, he sent me over a bunch of information and i just learned it all i guess lol. Sent out a few tunes to some people, did a lot of work on my car and its all going smooth.

I recommend having a mentor so to speak, find someone who can teach you what you need to know. It helps a lot.

This goes out to tom, thanks for all the help bro!

Hptuners is absolutely amazing though, great program and I love it!

OTT hands down... Josh is a great guy and I know his tunes! They are top notch, they don't get you the personal touch and customability of a personal custom tune, but his tunes are as close as you can get without the cable my friend.

If you can get custom tuned personally that is the route I would go, BUT...

make sure said PERSONAL tuner is good enough to be touching another persons car, if you can answer NO to that question than OTT's canned tunes are the better option BY FAR!

How many cars have you tuned... I am sure I have done more than you and I don't even qualify to make a post like that!

Leave the HOW to tune threads, to the professionals...ie: Area47, Fast98, 06black, 06blackg85ss, and I know there are others that are more in the know that you or I my friend!

1badBlueberrySC - wow you come out swinging don't you lol. I planed on making the BASIC tuning thread and uploading some information for people with hptuners, something a little more detailed then whats out now that will be step by step and help people out who are thinking about buying hptuners or just bought it.

There are a lot of great tuners out there and if they want to take the time out to make a thread they can, just like I am going to.

I agree with BLK on this one and everyone else, if you DO get a canned tune - which doesn't sound like it will be happening go with ottp, I have looked at there tunes and have used them and they are solid.

cobalttc05 - I agree, just a little something that will help the new people get going.
