ZZP vs OTT?
not free. the car being used for it is coming to me for a custom tune on his car. i won't compare all three because that isn't a fair fight to ottp and zzp

They did that on race gas...
i for one would like to see the highest hp with pump gas... as thats my real world test..
i dont really care how high of hp you can get with race gas.. i mean tahts cool and all.. but..
i will never be able to use it, and would like to see what can be done with the norm...

I have no problem doing an A/B but I fear that the people involved and discussing it aren't not prepared to interpret the results properly. Allow me to explain:
If we're looking at one file with AF all over, then yes it's easy to say there is an issue. Same goes if we see timing way off or a major issue.
but if we're lookint at power which inevitably nearly everyone will there are a few problems.
The major one being rich/lean and the test vehicle. If one file is setup a little leaner and the car has adequate cooling, this car will make more power. This doesn't make the file better or worse, just suited for that car better. So that file will come out looking like it makes more power. If it's not setup to run lean because it's got an aggressive pulley, then running leaner may give 1 or 2 deg or more of KR, making the file show less power and KR. This doesn't mean it's a bad file, just setup differently.
Same thing goes for the weather you test in, the gas you use, how high you spin it, etc. There are a lot of variables which would make me hesitant to declare a file "better" based on 1 thing. However, I have no problem doing an A/B. I would rather be given a car and asked to tune it and compare it to someone else as I feel we could outdo others but I'm not sure if that type of test could happen or is what you're looking for.
As far as WHP, our 440 pump gas is the highest documented in this community.

it's a canned tune dyno challenge. 2.8/60lb car nothing major done to it. it would be the exact tune to what you would send out with a stage kit
i have made pulls on my car i don't publish either. it's bragging rights. more or less like the canned tune challenge. if you want to step up to this challenge, i'll be more than happy to send you my e-mail address in a pm. it's up to you. just bear in mind, i will be posting the logs and the dyno sheets in comparison from each one. this will be happening on saturday 02-21-09

I'm all for an A/B comparison. However, I would never be dumb enough to send an ECM off to a group of people that openly state their dislike for our company in hopes that there might be a fair representation. What we would need to do is meet up with OTT at a neutral dyno shop and proceed from there.

How would we know if that is fair representation also? The only way I see this happening is with a neutral shop and with a neutral car to make sure the canned tunes are being used and not a custom setup with your own cars...but for some reason I dont ever see this happening.
yup.....it would change my mind..because currently I'm looking at the OTTP kit. If ZZP's is actually better...I'd be all over it.
